Early Childhood Certification

 

 

Program Highlights:

12 Credits
Pennsylvania Department of Education approved
Accredited by National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)
Qualifies students for Early Childhood certification in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Teacher certification in Elementary Education required for admission
12 Credit (Four course) option available to teachers currently certified in Elementary Educaiton and currently possess  masters degree.

ECE 776 Theory and Practice in Early Childhood Education 
ECE 710 Issues and Trends in Early Literacy Development
ECE720 Math and Science in Early Childhood 
ECE 730 Assessment and Evaluation in Early Childhood


Admission Requirements:

  1. Completed Graduate Application
  2. Application fee: $30.00 for new students, and $7.00 for former or current EUP students.
  3. Official Transcript: submit an official transcript reflecting baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution to:.

4. Verification of possession of a valid elementary education teaching certificate.

5.  If you are interested in transfering credits from another degree you must fill out the Transfer Credit Form
