Certification procedures in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania require that the candidates must pass the PRAXIS Early Childhood Exam required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education before certification will be granted. Candidates seeking certification in another state shall follow the corresponding procedures required by the given state.

M.Ed. Early Childhood Program Information (Power Point)
"After teaching in an online format, I am confident that our students are receiving an outstanding educational experience leading to teacher certification in early childhood education. Each course provides students with opportunities to interact through chat rooms, discussion boards, and out-of-class communications. Participants have the opportunity to expand their knowledge through readings, virtual lectures, and video clips, studying in the comfort of their homes at times convenient to them. Through the online format educators from different areas of the country share ideas and learn from each other. I am excited to continue teaching and interacting with our graduate students in the online program."Dr. Maureen Walcavich |
