FAQ tECH

Dr. Holtz
"In his book, A Place Called School, Goodlad (1984) reported that students in K-12 public schools disliked learning social sciences more than any other subject.  Often social studies topics become removed from human character and are reduced to simple rote memorization. Here at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, we understand that teaching social studies is a challenging profession.  That is why we are offering an on-line master's program with a focus not only on social studies content, but also on pedagogy. It is a good intermingling of knowledge and technique."
Dr. Jo Holtz
